The purpose of the job is to manage the blasting service delivery process to customers on site in a way that meets (or exceeds) their needs. This service is delivered by ensuring that all the statutory, legal and BME SHEQ requirements are administered and adhered to. The responsibility for the job entails the supervision of Technicians and Assistants on the sites as well as being responsible cost management as well as for the company’s assets in the form of stock, materials, and equipment.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing blasting service delivery

Minimum Education or Qualifications: 
  • 5 years mining operation experience (Must have underground mining, blasting, blast reports, seismograph)
  • Previous experience in supervising employees
  • Previous responsibility for managing costs
  • A proven track record in an operational / explosives mining environment.
