Son of the Soil amplified

We didn’t have the Son of the Soil event last year but we’ll definitely have it this year on a date already confirmed by the organisers, Bana ba Mmala Trust (BBMT) which will from this year be in partnership with Fresh Brands, a local advertising agency that has since come onboard to assist in managing and growing the event.

Son of the Soil 2019 will be held on the 2nd of March at Serokolwane Lawns, North of Gaborone along the A1 road. The much anticipated event skipped its annual celebration last year which only gave the organisers more room to prepare a much bigger and better installment. The event organisers, represented by Mr. Peloewetse, the BBMT chairman, assured the media that as has been the norm with the event there will be new and much more fun activities this year. He cited examples of interesting and interactive activities that they have introduced in the previous years and the kind of impact they had. “We encourage all attendants to take part in the activities”, he said.

In it’s 13th installment this year, the Son of the Soil will this year offer entry to both the young and grown, with tickets for under 12 year olds and anybody above the age of 12 considered an adult. The Son of the Soil will be an all family event starting from 0700hrs and will once more grow our culture knowledge and preservation.
