The Bulb World Hands Over "The Lesedi Ke Mpho" Project

The Bulb World has embarked on a nationwide campaign to bring light to boarding schools with the aim of providing students with access to quality and safe lighting. The initiative is a deliberate effort to assist the Ministry of Basic education by contributing to the country's education ecosystem and positively impacting the student's lives.

The Bulb World in collaboration with FNB Botswana, through the FNBB Foundation, hosted key stakeholders at Lobatse Senior Secondary School (LOBSEC) for the official handover of the school, following the culmination of the ‘Lesedi Ke Mpho’ project at a sunset soiree.

Private Secretary to the Minister of Finance and Economic Development, Mr. Sam Moipolai was in attendance and fully officiated the evening’s proceedings. The ‘Lesedi Ke Mpho’ CSR initiative seeks to deliberately assist the Government and the Ministry of Basic Education with providing students in secondary schools with access to safe lighting

For his part, The Bulb World Founder and CEO Mr. Ketshephaone Jacob expressed their gratitude to FNB Botswana for having heeded their call and taking on the first school in what is planned to be a nation-wide campaign. He also shared how meaningful this project was to them because as a youth-owned and youth-run company, they were committed to investing in students as they are the next generation and future leaders of tomorrow.
