National Broadcasting Conference Starts on a high Note
Speaking at the National Conference, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Transport and Communications, notes that broadcasting plays a key role in advancing messaging and information across the country. He said that Botswana's media industry should take advantage of the new and emerging technologies to ehence delivery in their work.
The PS highlighted that the government is ready to lend as much support as possible, he said that Botswana has one of the world's best infrastructures in place and many businesses should create partnerships that would allow the broadcasting industry to prosper.
The conference is challenged to consider great provision of content and to really focus on content and not to worry about infrastructure because the government has invested a lot of money in resources.
The event attended by big players in the broadcasting industry including radio stations, television and local production companies has over 20 speakers whose aim is to inact and impact information on broadcasting and the new technologies. Some of the speakers include the Kwese General Manager, Ms Goabaone Taylor, a seasoned telecommunications and broadcasting executive whose diverse experience span from leading a dynamic Pan - African media company.
