Thakadu Bush Camp
Thakadu Camp is a safari lodge situated just South of Ghanzi, overlooking a calcrete pan and floodlit waterhole of extraordinary beauty, surrounded by ancient leadwood trees and frequented by large numbers of indigenous wildlife, including a wonderful variety of both resident and migrant birds. Thakadu (which means 'Aardvark'or 'Anteater' in the local language of Botswana) offers accommodation, activities, and a well stocked bar and restaurant. Our Curio Shop stocks a range of crafts and some emergency supplies for travellers. We also have credit card facilities and wireless internet available 24 hours.
ACCOMMODATION
Accommodation is provided in en-suite thatched chalets, luxurious en-suite meru tents (a chalet in canvas), budget twin bedded cottage tents and camping in our wonderful leadwood shaded campsites .
BAR & RESTAURANT
We have a well stocked bar, which is a popular waterhole by the waterhole. Our
cosy restaurant overlooking the pan (waterhole) provides excellent a’ la carte meals at reasonable prices and a selection of wines is available.
A raised swimming pool is available for guests which also overlooks the pan.
THAKADU FRESH
We also have a Fresh Produce Stall (situated at the entrance into the reserve) which sells fresh home grown vegetables, Venison (including Biltong) and Ice.
