Botswana Housing Corporation crowns their Queen
The 2018 Tsabong Agricultural Show was the biggest installment of the annual event held in Tsabong although the event was not held last year. Multitudes from the Kgalagadi South region thronged the event and the organizing committee had an array of activities set out for them
Amongst these activities was the Miss Tsabong Agricultural Show, a first for the event which proved to be one of the favourites of the offering. The beauty pageant featured young ladies from around Kgalagadi South with contestants from other villages like Makopong and Tsabong herself. A total of 12 contestants made the cut after an invitation was made to all the young ladies in the area. The Tsabong Unified Secondary School was the host of this event and their multi-purpose was set ablaze by the beautiful young ladies.
Botswana Housing Corporation, Botswana’s leading developer with a mandate to offer Batswana affordable housing across the country found it fit to sponsor such an event in support of the Tsabong community and the girl child. There is a nationwide drive to support the girl child in Botswana and this is one of the ways that the Botswana Housing Corporation has decided to play their part as a responsible corporate citizen. The property giant had the Tsabong Unified Secondary School hall beaming with their colours as the girls took to the stage in their various outfits to woo the crowd and the judges.
At the end of the night 3 of the 12 ladies were crowned by the judges as the Queen, 1st and 2nd Princesses. Ms. Thusego Oanthata Kotokwe was crowned Queen with Tshegofatso Agnes Bimbo and Kemo Chookula Mosweu as her 1st and 2nd Princesses.
