We know that it may seem like its just dung, but here are a few things you can actually do with elephant dung.
1. CURE MILD PAIN
As a result of the large variety of fruits and plants that an elephant will consume throughout the day, their waste products are a one-stop shop for traditional healing.
If you have a mild headache or any body pain, or even a nose bleed, take dried up elephant dung and burn it. Allow the smoke to go up and then inhale it through your nostrils. That should do the trick!
2. ECO FRIENDLY PAPER
Elephants only digest 45% of their food, and the waste product is mostly fiber. Therefore the dung can be processed and be used as a paper material. The average elephant excretes enough to produce at least 100 sheets of paper each day.
3. MOSQUITO REPELLENT
If you are camping in the bush and are being bothered by mosquitoes, search around for dry elephant dung (be careful not to spot an elephant though).
After collecting a handful of it, go and burn it like incence in your tent and allow the smoke to fill up the tent for 10 minutes. Dont worry about the smell because unlike other mosquito repellents, the elephant dung is oduorless! Take caution to extinguish the dung ball with water before you sleep. You will definitely have a sound sleep thereafter.
